College tuition prices seldom drop.
The online Registered Nurse to Bachelor of Nursing (RN-to-BSN) program at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette announced a record enrollment of 819 students this week after the start of the first term of 2016, an 18% an increase over the January 2015 enrollment. The 100% online degree program is available to diploma nurses and RNs with associate’s degrees and offers a fast and flexible pathway to earn a BSN. The accelerated program is offered with multiple start dates each year to accommodate a working RN’s busy schedule.
“The program has expanded access to nursing education while addressing the shortage of BSN-qualified nursing personnel that is expected to continue for years to come,” says Dr. Gail Poirrier, Dean of the College of Nursing and Allied Health Professions.
The program also ranked No. 16 among among the “Top 50 Best Value Online RN to BSN Programs of 2015.” The next application deadline is quickly approaching and courses begin on March 7th.
