Advising

Students in online programs will be assigned an advisor who will be the primary contact person for academic advice while you are an online or hybrid student at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette.  Your academic advisor is familiar with your degree plan requirements and is committed to helping you move toward your personal and professional goals. Advising for online and hybrid programs is performed by the department that offers the program.   Click the links to the left to access advising information for hybrid and online programs.

Advising is conducted by individual appointment with your advisor.  New students being advised for the first time will have to complete the Free Online Student Orientation Course and obtain an Orientation Certificate of Completion before scheduling an advising appointment.  Continuing students should make an appointment (virtual or face-to-face) with their advisor to plan for the next semester.
