UL Lafayette Online Healthcare Programs Rank for Quality, Affordability

Best Value Schools has recognized two of the University of Louisiana at Lafayette’s online programs for their quality and affordability.

The online RN to BSN degree program ranks among the most affordable in the country. The program allows registered nurses to complete their bachelor of science in nursing in as few as 12 months, entirely online. For most students, tuition is $9,500 for the entire program. 

Students learn to assess, plan, implement and evaluate nursing care for individuals, families and communities from UL Lafayette faculty trained and certified to teach online. 

Top Online Healthcare Administration Programs logoAlso within the College of Nursing and Health Sciences, the online B.S. in Health Services Administration degree program was ranked among the country's top online healthcare administration programs. UL Lafayette’s program takes a personalized approach to help students reach their goals of launching a career in healthcare administration.  

Center of Excellence

These are just two of the ways UL Lafayette has been recognized in 2020 for its programs and as an institution.

Earlier this year, the University was named a Center of Excellence in Nursing Education by the National League for Nursing, taking its place among only 17 programs to receive the designation this year. 

Dr. Melinda Oberleitner, dean of the College of Nursing and Health Sciences, said the designation acknowledges the long-standing excellence of the University’s bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral nursing programs, three of which are entirely online.

Top Colleges and Universities

The University is also listed among the top 389 colleges and universities in the nation in U.S. News & World Report’s 2021 edition of “Best Colleges.”

Within the same report, several online graduate degree programs were recognized:  

  • Nursing schools: doctor of nursing practice (tied for No. 133).
  • Nursing schools: masters (tied for No. 175).
  • Best online master’s in nursing programs (tied for No. 45).
  • Best online master’s in education programs (tied for No. 89).
  • Best online bachelor’s programs (tied for No. 106).
  • Best online MBA programs (tied for No. 149).

Excellence in Diversity

Additionally, UL Lafayette is one of 90 colleges and universities to earn the 2020 Higher Education Excellence in Diversity Award from INSIGHT IntoDiversity magazine for contributions in advancing diversity and inclusion. It is the third year in a row the University has been recognized. Honorees are featured in the magazine’s November issue.
