Curriculum & Duration
The Graduate Certificate in Cardiovascular Nursing is a six-month,12-credit-hour program that combines online learning with clinical experiences.
Classes begin on March 11, 2024. Courses and clinical experiences are completed during Spring and Summer sessions, and the certificate is awarded by the beginning of August.
Spring B Term
NURS 450G - Foundations of Cardiovascular Care, an 8-week 3-graduate credit hours didactic course
Spring Intercession
NURS 451G - Management and Care of Cardiac Dysrhythmias, a 3-week 3-graduate credit hours didactic course
Summer Term
NURS 452G - Diagnosis and Management of Acute and Chronic Cardiac Disorders, an 8-week course that blends 2-graduate credit hours of didactic work with 4-graduate credit hours of clinical practicum experiences in various health care settings (120 contact hours)
