Nursing Education
Educate the next generation of nurses.
By choosing the online MSN with a concentration in Nursing Education, you'll be prepared to become a nursing faculty member, clinical instructor, and will be equipped to work in staff development settings. Many graduates also choose to continue their education to obtain a doctoral degree.
Nationwide there is a shortage of nursing faculty while the need for more professional nurses is increasing. Nursing education students develop competencies in nursing theory, research, and educational teaching principles and strategies, as well as graduate-level concepts in pathophysiology, pharmacology and advanced physical assessment.
The Nursing Education MSN concentration prepares you to teach nursing at the undergraduate level. By successfully completing the MSN curriculum for the nursing education concentration, you'll fulfill educational requirements for the NLN Certified Nurse Educator exam.
