Career Opportunities

Master of Science in Nursing students are mentored in new career opportunities, evidence-based practice and professional development.

Family Nurse Practitioner

Care for a wide range of clients, in multiple settings, across the lifespan, in collaboration with a healthcare team as a Family Nurse Practitioner, or FNP.

With a focus on prevention and primary care, many FNPs choose to work in health professional shortage areas to increase access to care.

Upon successful completion of the MSN curriculum, students meet educational requirements to take the Nurse Practitioner Role: Family Nurse Practitioner national certification examination, and to apply for an advanced practice license.

Nurse Educator

Educate the next generation of nurses.

By choosing the online MSN with a concentration in nursing education, you'll be prepared to become a nursing faculty member, clinical instructor, and will be equipped to work in staff development settings. Many graduates also choose to continue their education to obtain doctoral degree.

Nationwide there is a shortage of nursing faculty while the need for more professional nurses is increasing. Nursing education students develop competencies in nursing theory, research, and educational teaching principles and strategies, as well as graduate-level concepts in pathophysiology, pharmacology and advanced physical assessment.
